Monte’s (Nestle’s) Cookies

Alright so this is not a personal recipe, it’s just the one on the back of the Nestle chocolate chips bags. HOWEVER, it’s personal to me because I think I prepare it better than anyone else ever. Watch and learn:

2 + 1/4 cups flour

tsp Salt

tsp baking soda

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 sticks unsalted butter (softened)

tsp vanilla extract

2 eggs

2 cups chocolate chips!

Put the flour, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl

In the mixing bowl, put the sugar, brown sugar, butter and vanilla extract

Mix it together, then beat in eggs one at a time.

Add the flour/salt/baking soda mixture–not all at once. I typically add 1/3 of the flour mixture, then mix, then another 1/3, then mix, etc.

Add the chocolate chips!! EEEE!! Chocolate chips are the mascara of cookies. They pull the whole look together.

The recipe says “bake for 9-11 minutes at 375 degrees.” So, we all know that means “bake for 8 minutes.”

Please excuse these monstrous cookies, it appears my boyfriend thought we were making pancakes. They’re each the size of my face.

More normal sized cookies:

My mom couldn’t control herself.

What are your favorite cookie recipes? (Please don’t say oatmeal raisin) 😉
