Week 6 of Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines

Monday: Arms and Abs

I have never sucked so badly at a workout. I got through maybe half of it, and then gave up. To be fair, I was really distracted from other things going on, and my heart and body weren’t into it. So I ran a mile to finish off the workout and called it a day.

Tuesday: LISS or HIIT

After a long, emotional day, I needed to work it out. My friend and I went to the gym, and I was on the elliptical for an hour. I burned 758 Calories! I just listened to my podcast to get me through, and sweat out all of the salt water in my body. I felt so good after.

Wednesday: Abs and Cardio

I KILLED this workout. It was tough and painful, but I got through it quickly with minimal breaks. Burpees were the WORST part, and the second worst part was having to do 50 mountain climbers RIGHT AFTER the burpees. Nothing wears me out like a total of 60 burpees. (4 sets of 15). I was wiped, but I’m really proud of myself.

Thursday: LISS or HIIT

My legs were sore, I was dead, so I did not a single thing today. And I feel GREAT about it. Woo! I will do my workout tomorrow, and then do my workout on Saturday as well, and I’ll feel proud of my 5 workouts this week. Also, might I just say, I weighed in today, and I’ve dropped a couple pounds! My weight has been kinda fluctuating around the same 5 ish pounds recently but now it seems like I’m starting to drop! Yay veggies!

Friday: Legs and Cardio

I promised myself that I would push through this exercise no matter what. I would take as long as it needed to finish. So I did half the workout and my legs were BURNING, so I walked a lap around the track. I did the next circuit, took another walk, and finished the last one. I modified two exercises to make them easier–I didn’t hold weights for my walking lunges, and instead of doing broad jump burpees I did regular burpees so that I wouldn’t be hopping all around the crowded gym like an idiot. I was sore until Monday.

Saturday: LISS or HIIT

Casually spent another hour on the elliptical to burn a grand total of 774 calories. Somehow I didn’t get bored! It’s pretty fun when watching tv shows or listening to podcasts/music!

Sunday: Stretching

And by “stretching” I mean “laid in bed all day.” It was perfect.

I’m so proud of myself for getting halfway through this program! I’ve never stuck with anything for this long so I’m really excited about my progress! Yay!
